I fell straight away with Grace and then again with Theo. I fell out of love a little bit. I had lots of chats about amazing jobs, but every time I had this kind of uneasy feeling. Over a coffee catch-up with her old colleague Kristiina Rose-Innes, who had also worked at Cosmo but in the advertising department, they hatched a plan to launch a kids clothing brand.

The same for our third! Now that the kids are a bit older 4, 6, 7 , our mornings are reasonably easy. My husband and I alternate mornings to exercise — I go on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6am and do a mix of pilates and F45 and he goes cycling on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings and then Sunday is family morning. Depending on what after-school activities the kids have on, our evenings are generally bath at 5pm, homework at pm, dinner at 6pm and stories at 7pm.

The girls stay up for a bit reading to themselves and lights are usually out by 8pm. We do family trivia every Sunday night. Write lists. I love lists. The satisfaction of crossing things off makes me feel instantly organised and less overwhelmed. We often read about these high-profile cases fighting to legalize gay marriage in Australia. How do you find your readers' opinions differ on that topic?

We are all very pro[-gay marriage]. The Millennial generation of Australians is by and large pro-marriage equality, so that's our message in Cosmo.

It's not polarizing for us to write about that. So it is certainly a topic that we touch on regularly and we do, similar to U. Cosmo , lesbian sex stories or "my right to marry" stories. We are very pro-marriage equality. Do you feel any obligation to push for the legalization of gay marriage more as a member of the media? Definitely, I think it's really important for people with an audience or profile — no matter how big or small — to be vocal on the issue.

I'm up for any opportunity to support the legalization of gay marriage and if my role as editor-in-chief of Cosmo makes that more impactful, then that's fantastic. Do you find your readers identify as feminists? For a while, "feminism" became a really dirty word in that people just kind of started eye-rolling and associating it with women getting on their high horses, talking about man-hating.

That's not what feminism is about! The last couple of years have really spun it to being like, "OK, this is what a modern feminist is. It's about equality. It's about earning equally and "I have the right to make this decision about whether to keep a baby or not," or whatever it might be. I think everybody finally gets it — feminism isn't about bra-burning; it's about choice and equality and being equal.

I remember distinctly, probably 18 months ago, we almost [said] we need to stop referencing the word "feminism" and "feminist," because you could almost audibly hear the eye roll because it was just such a big moment in time. And it's funny because then you start presenting it in different ways and then you're no longer calling it "feminism," it's just "being a kickass, empowered woman.

It was almost like we made a conscious effort to just start calling it other words. Video by Mamamia. Leave a comment. What is PLAYetc? Listen Now. Introducing: Biz Lady Startup.
